We will say our “I do” at the church on Karlín Square. The ceremony will begin at approximately 1:00 PM. Following the ceremony, there will be time for photos and congratulations. We expect to finish around 3:00 PM.

On Saturday, we will celebrate our wedding together. We kindly ask you to arrive between 2:00–2:30 PM to allow plenty of time for accommodation in rooms by 2–5. At 3:00 PM, we will begin the wedding reception. Refreshments, drinks, and a program will be provided throughout the day. Check-out on Sunday is planned for 10:00 AM.
Dress code
The dress code is formal. We would greatly appreciate it if you chose pastel colors from below.
Wedding presents
Your presence is the the greatest gift we could ask for.
If you would still like to give us something, we would be very grateful for a financial contribution towards our honeymoon. A gift box will be available at the Chateau on Saturday, or you are welcome to use a Revolut transfer to @jakubval96.
Our Story
Our paths crossed in the middle of summer 2020 thanks to numerous CEMS events, and we instantly fell for each other. We enjoyed trips to Lake Lhota, rafting down the Vltava River, and exploring restaurants in Prague until the second wave of COVID hit and we spent another semester in Sibřina, balancing online statistics classes with long walks with Ari. We both knew we were building something magical together.
Five years later, after graduating and traveling together from America to Siberia, we returned to our beloved Italy in the spring of 2025. During a hike between the towns of Cinque Terre, Jakub asked Elena to marry him, and she said YES.
We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of the next chapter of our shared adventure with you!
